Team retreats in nature

Leadership begins at the table.

One to four days in nature for your team, designed and hosted by Garo Feslian.

Tailored to the last detail.

Every retreat starts with a conversation, not a template. Everything thought of: food, programme, logistics…

  • Built around your objective

Strategy, bonding, a celebration, a reset. The days follow the reason you’re coming.

  • No trust falls, no lanyards

Hands get busy, phones rest in a basket, people talk like people.

Garo pouring oil into a steaming pot in the open-air kitchen.

From first light to the last ember.

A lone tree in a field of tall grass, lit by the low sun.

First light

Land in nature

An infusion from the land and something warm from the oven. Time to arrive before anything is asked of you.

A group walking along a farm track towards the trees in early sunlight.

Morning

Walk in silence

Single file, no phones. It’s awkward for four minutes, then people start hearing the morning.

Hands pulling a beetroot out of the soil.

Late morning

Harvest what you’ll cook

Baskets, soil, beetroot pulled by the people who will cook it. The vegetables don’t travel. Your team does.

Floury hands kneading a large dough on a steel table.

Late morning

Knead one dough

One dough for the whole team. It rises all day and comes out of the wood oven at night.

Bread coming out of the wood-fired oven on a long peel, into a basket.

Midday

Cook together over fire

One menu, many hands. Teams that cook together find their rhythm, and lunch is what you make.

A wooden dome with cushions in a circle and tall windows open to the fields.

Early afternoon

Work, outside

Sessions under the trees or in a light-filled dome, facilitated or self-led. The agenda breathes on purpose.

A team talking around a wooden table in a field, flowers and a water jar between them.

Late afternoon

Talk without slides

The best conversations happen in the gaps we design.

A flatbread straight from the oven set down on the long table.

Golden hour

Sit at one long table

Decisions land differently after bread. Dinner is the longest activity of the day, on purpose.

Dinner under string lights and a canvas roof in the forest.

Nightfall

Gather around the fire

Music that knows when to be quiet, and the conversations nobody scheduled.

Candles and jars of preserves on a long table in a wooden barn at night.

Late evening

Wind down slowly

Reflect on the day and get some well-needed rest.

A pot hanging over a small fire in the morning, a tipi behind it.

The morning after

Breakfast, slowly

Eggs from the chickens, coffee that takes its time. The real alignment happens over the second cup.

Food and Experience Designer

I’m a chef, designer, facilitator and ceremony leader. For more than five years I’ve designed retreats in nature, around food and fire, bringing people closer to each other, to nature and, most importantly, to themselves.

I don’t promise to change your team. I simply share the teachings I’ve learned throughout my journey: slowing down and coming back home to ourselves.

  • 5+ yearsof retreats across Europe
  • 3 to 8people in Garo’s team

One to four days, made to measure.

Pick a shape to start from. Garo redesigns it around your people, your objective and your season.

In every retreat

  • Food and drink, arrival to goodbye
  • Garo’s team, facilitation, materials
  • Venue scouting and logistics
  • Cabins, tents or rooms from two days
  • Leadership programmes
  • Holistic practices

Plan your retreat

Tell us what your team needs. We’ll sketch the days.

Pick the words that fit. You receive a first sketch as a PDF, and so does Garo, who calls you personally.

Good questions.

Something else on your mind? Ask it in your sketch, or write to info@garofeslian.com.

Where do retreats take place?

Mostly in the Netherlands, within easy reach of Amsterdam: a forest with an open-air kitchen and a wood oven, or a farm with gardens, a greenhouse and a dome for working sessions. Elsewhere in Europe on request. Garo scouts, books and prepares the place.

How many people can come?

Most formats work beautifully for 6 to 24 people. Bigger group? Share your numbers and Garo designs around them.

What’s included?

Food and drink from arrival to goodbye, Garo’s team of three to eight people, facilitation, materials, venue scouting and all the logistics. From two days, cabins, tents or a hotel nearby.

Will we still get work done?

Yes, often that’s the point. Working sessions are part of the design, outdoors or in a dome, with whatever you need. The agenda is shaped with you beforehand.

What about dietary needs?

They’re part of the design. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergies, religious requirements: everyone gets a full plate of the same food.

What if it rains?

It’s the Netherlands, so every place has covered spaces. The fire doesn’t mind a little weather.

When can we come?

The main season runs from May to October. Another time of year? Ask, and you’ll get an honest answer. The earlier you reach out, the more choice of dates and places.

What does it cost?

Every retreat is designed from scratch, so every proposal is too. After a first conversation you receive a clear, all-in quote.

Which language?

Retreats are held in English.
